Carla Hogan

Carla Hogan is Of Counsel to the Firm. She is an AV-rated attorney with over 30 years’ experience representing businesses, including all healthcare providers, not for-profit corporations, professional associations, and licensed professionals, in employment and healthcare matters. She served as a partner in a national litigation firm where she managed all phases of complex civil litigation including defending government investigations, employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims, OSHA violations, wages and hours violations, workers compensation and unemployment insurance matters. She negotiates employment agreements, severance agreements, non-competes and executive compensation packages. As part of her healthcare practice, she represents IPAs, pharmacies, labs, physician and dental management companies, drug and alcohol programs, OPWDD licensed facilities, diagnostic and treatment centers, ambulatory surgical centers, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, OMH licensed providers, physicians, dentists and other licensed professionals and durable medical equipment companies. Representation includes start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, non-equity roll-ups, IPA formation, ACO integration, licensing, HIPAA defense, managed care contracting and audits, Medicaid and Medicare and commercial payor audit and exclusion proceedings and professional discipline matters. She regularly defends impaired professionals in front of OPD, working with alternatives programs such as the NYS Professional Assistance Program. Ms. Hogan has developed training programs and lectured, and written extensively on healthcare and employment law compliance, and through the Cornell ILR School has trained businesses and government agencies on best employment practices. She graduated with honors from Albany Law School where she served as an Editor on the Albany Law Review.
