Since commencing his legal career in 1997, Peter Papagianakis has practiced law exclusively in the area of business contracts and transactions. He has worked with a national law firm and a Manhattan-based law firm and as Senior Counsel for a NYSE-listed company where he was responsible for SEC reporting and corporate and capital market transactions. The range of Peter’s experience includes the representation and counseling of public companies as well as private companies from inception to IPO and beyond.

Peter graduated magna cum laude from both his law school alma mater, Florida State University College of Law, as well as his undergraduate alma mater, Carnegie Mellon University. Peter is licensed to practice law in New York as well as Florida, where he practiced for three years.

In addition to practicing law, Peter has served on the Board of Directors of a New York State-based multi-state property and casualty insurance company and  has taught various courses for  both graduate and undergraduate university programs in New York, including Business Law/Commercial Transactions, Law of Business Organizations,  Negotiation Skills, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics,  Investing in Mutual Funds and Investing in Stocks and Bonds.

Before law school, Peter worked as an Assistant Bank Examiner with the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and  as an Assistant Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In addition, he passed the Level I examination of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
