PARALEGAL

Weiss Zarett Brofman Sonnenklar & Levy, P.C. is currently seeking a talented, experienced Paralegal to join our team in New Hyde Park, New York, with primary responsibilities within our Payor Audit Team. The ideal candidate will be capable of excelling in a high-quality legal environment and motivated to become a long-term member of a close-knit legal team. We are a well-known boutique law firm with a concentration in Healthcare Law. The attorneys of Weiss Zarett Brofman Sonnenklar & Levy, P.C. assist members of the healthcare industry (including physicians, healthcare providers, and health-related businesses), and other types of small and medium-sized businesses, with a wide array of legal services. Candidate must be highly organized, have keen attention to detail and possess a desire to flourish in a team setting within a high-paced practice group. Candidate will interact with attorneys and other members of the Payor Audit Team. Responsibilities will include scheduling calls and meetings (live and virtual) with outside consultants and clients, maintaining a calendar of proceedings and due dates for appeals and responsive documents and reviewing and filing medical records and other documents provided by clients. Candidate must be proficient with MS Office Suite, WinZip and Citrix Sharefile, or similar encryption software. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payor audits and investigations.

  • Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:

  • Annual Discretionary Bonus

EXPERIENCE:

  • Legal: 2 years (Required)

LICENSE:

  • Paralegal Certification or Degree (Required)
